Week 4?!

How has it already been four weeks? I can’t quite wrap my head around that. With each passing day, each class, and each client, I am more and more certain I’ve found my calling. I’m thrilled to be doing what I am every day, and I feel a sense of deep happiness and contentment that I haven’t known before.

This week of esthetician school, like the others so far, did not disappoint. We began learning about microchanneling. This much-anticipated day has been teasing us for quite some time, as our instructors and owner alike have raved about how incredible microchanneling is for what feels like ages. We eager students gathered around in a treatment room to watch a demo and were all riveted.

The week went out with a bang – or, more specifically, a very busy Friday. We got to perform it on one of the instructors. It’s quite interesting, operating the little microchanneling machine. It feels almost like an electric razor. We each mastered the technique, and now get to look forward to performing the service for clients.

After that, I had three clients, which proved to be my busiest day yet. It was great!

Goal Update:

This week I had more than one facial client and more than one dermaplaning client! Thank you all who came to see me!

My new goal is to average one facial a day, and one dermaplane appointment a week.
